More July Pics

Busy July!

This has been a packed month and we haven't had a chance to blog lately so I will hit a few of the highlights.

-Kelso turned 6 months and started crawling and pulling up on things.

-Michael's parents, AKA Hezzy and Grandpa came for a visit.

-Michael, myself and Jayden were in a wedding.

-We went to Orlando for a night and will be going there again next week (Jayden LOVES it).

-Did I mention that K is crawling and when that happens, I can accomplish NOTHING during the day b/c he is into EVERYTHING! Oh well, I LOVE it-he is so fun. The house may be somewhat messy by the end of the day but I had fun chasing my kiddos around!

-Jayden and I continue to enjoy "projects" together---these consist of collages, princess mobiles, and anything else I can come up with to be creative!

Michael's Annual Training

Michael had his 2 weeks of training. They killed rattle snakes and did all sorts of other things! The gun picture is of Michael and the other officers. In the last picture, you can see his head peaking out of the mobile command post. He was very glad to be done and out of the heat once the two weeks were over.

Zoo

Last night the zoo had a special where they stayed open late. Jayden rode the carousel which is an old favorite of hers. Then she got to ride a pony for the first time! She liked it! She also rode the "buckets" AKA the skyride. You can see what Keslso enjoyed doing at the zoo:) He did wake up eventually and enjoyed seeing everything.

We spent the day at Busch Gardens today. Kelso enjoyed naptime in the stroller and Jayden LOVED meeting a princess!

Memorial Day

Michael took part in a Memorial Day ceremony at the national cemetary. After the ceremony, the Honor Guard marched off and we followed them. When Michael was given the command that he was done, he turned around and we were walking toward him. Jayden saw him and was beside herself and so excited because she wanted to see her daddy. The video captures an incredible moment! As I watched her run to him, I was filled with so many emotions. Emotions connected to the thoughts of the days not too long ago when he was in Iraq. It was touching. My mom and I were talking about it on the way home and she summed it up nicely when she said "I just think of all those children who want to run to their daddy but can't because he never came home. I prayed so many times for Michael to come home safe and he did."

We are blessed to be on the other side of his Iraq duty and should pray always for all the people still over there and for the little girls and boys who would love to run to their daddy's arms but can't.

There are a few other videos from the ceremony that I posted just so everyone could get an idea of what he does with the Honor Guard. Their presentations are always very respcetful and honoring.

TAPS

More of the ceremony and the playing of TAPS. I know these aren't the best quality.

Gun Salute

This is a little shaky but you get the idea!

She was supposed to be napping but instead she was hiding inside of her pillow! This was from back in November but I thought it was funny. She's too big to fit inside there now.
